Be A Fact Checker

by Lucinda Reyna

In this era of fake news, there’s always a cry for fact-checking.

But what good is fact-checking if the source of that is flawed?

We must remember there’s one source of truth - one source for answers.

It’s the Word of God.

Did you know it’s full of all the solutions, answers, and help we need?!

We somehow forget that the darkness will not overcome the light.

We somehow forget where the source of all truth is.

We somehow forget who the source of all life is.

We somehow forget that truth doesn’t change.

We somehow forget the real answers are already within our grasp.

We act like we’re defeated, but we’re not!

We act like we’re the underdog, but we’re not!

We act like the lies that are being told are true, but they’re not.

We need to be better fact-checkers.

Just because something is a popular opinion doesn’t make it true.

Even in the Christian community, there is a lot of incorrect information.

One of the biggest misnomers is that once you’re saved, that’s all that matters.

People tend to treat becoming a Christian like a life insurance policy - but there’s so much more.

Your Christian walk is just as important as your original decision to follow Christ.

But the evil one takes great pleasure in confusing the facts.

You should even fact-check Christian sources, which is just as important as other things.

With the abundance of liberal information that surrounds us, it’s important to know what you really believe.

Don’t rely on others; you can do it yourself and learn a lot along the way.
