It's Time for Movement

by Lucinda Reyna

It’s time for movement.

I’ve been a stagnant pond long enough.

My life has become infiltrated with the germs and bacteria of this world so much that I am a diseased, dirty, filthy vessel.

It’s time I was cleaned and purified.

Just as dirty water from an unclean source must be filtered and purified so my life needs to be.

If I am to live, I must become clean - otherwise I’m just a useless and dirty pond that just sits stagnant.

I’ve taken in all sorts of things, many very good such as teaching and training from reliable and godly people, but what good is it if it simply stays within me. What good is it if it’s not used? It just becomes stagnant.

I’ve also taken in many bad things such as practices and habits of this world - these need to be removed, or I’ll remain dirty and the germs of evil will multiply.

I see in my mind a picture of a water source that’s filthy, dirty, slimy, and contaminated - with animals standing in it - urinating and defecating in it.

Isn’t that what I’ve become? I’ve allowed all sorts of filth to reside in me. I’ve allowed all sorts of things to deposit their evil and vile germs to multiply in me.

Satan is happy.

I’m very much a self centered, impatient, product of my environment.

If I am not flushed out, I’ll die.

Am I willing to be cleaned?

Am I willing to allow myself to be filtered through the hands of a perfect and loving creator who knows the exact method to produce purity in my life?

Just as the water goes thru the purification process without distress, can I willingly allow that process to happen in me - without struggle?

Can I submit to that?

So, first we must recognize our state.

Next we must clearly and simply release every issue or fear to God.

It’s much too easy to just say “here I am, clean me.”

It’s not your job to figure out how He’s going to solve it, or understand why He chooses a certain method to do it; or even to approve of who or what He decides to use in the process.

It’s my job to simply tell him what I’m releasing to him and then do it- completely.

I know this will be difficult, but necessary.

Determine to practice the presence of God this coming year.

This process will require constant intervention.

Usually the very things we having problems with are the very things He uses to transform us. Now that’s efficient!! (I didn’t say easy, just efficient.)

We may need to change our habits or association with certain people, change want we view or listen to. It’s time to apply what we already know instead of just remaining stale with no movement.
