Gracepointe and Your Future

As I sit here at my desk writing this blog post, I am overwhelmed with excitement about the future of GracePointe Marietta Baptist Church and the impact we can make in the Kingdom of God.

I just returned from our Ministerial Staff Retreat in Cloudland, Georgia.  During our time there we prayed, planned and bonded as a staff.  Okay, yes, we had some extracurricular fun too!

Taylor Finley, Associate Pastor for Students and Mike Anderson, Associate Pastor for Worship and Technology and I spent many hours talking, praying and actually looking ahead to 2020.  We set goals and made concrete plans by placing ministry strategies on the church.  You will be hearing more about all of this very soon.  Randy Lariscy could not be with us to a conflict at his full-time job.

Many of the issues that I addressed in my last blog, such as, unity, space evaluation in our buildings, etc. were prayed over and discussed thoroughly so we will not be blind-sided by the growth we are already experiencing.  We also discussed Vision 2023 and are on target to see all of Vision 2023 accomplished in the next few years.

So, what does all of this mean?

You have a staff who loves God and seeks after His will in all things.

You have a staff who loves YOU and wants the absolute best that God has to offer for you and your life.

You have a staff that works hard and is always thinking ahead. Some areas where we are looking ahead include but are not limited to: recruiting and calling on people to serve in the Children’s Ministry and Student Ministry, choir members, Life Group and D-Life Group Leaders.

Mobilize all people to serve.  Every member is a minister.

Attendance goals were set for: Choir, Life Group formation; D-Life Group formation, Evangelism and Worship Attendance.

You have a staff who wants to lead the way “making disciples, who make disciples.”

You have a staff that is passionate about ministry and sharing Jesus in all that we do here at GracePointe.

You have a staff who is committed to do “whatever it takes” to be obedient to God and follow His will for our church.

You have a staff who loves YOU and wants to see you grow stronger in your walk with Jesus.

2020 is going to be the best yet!
