TIM CHILDERS

SENIOR PASTOR

 

He is a graduate of Samford University and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.  He has been on staff in churches in Alabama, Louisiana, Georgia and Tennessee.  

He is a published author.  His first book, “The Secret Place: 31 Devotionals Studies from Psalm 91 is in it’s second printing.  Tim’s second book, “The Power of Knowing Who You Are,” will be released in November 2019. 

 

His wife Debbie is also published author and speaks to women’s groups and corporations all over the southeast, bringing her smile, energy, LIFE and truth to anyone she encounters. She recently won the Jeannie Robertson National Comedy Contest and has appeared with her onstage.   

 

Tim and Debbie have 2 married children and seven of the smartest, best looking, and fun grandkids on the planet!

If there is some spare time, Tim likes to bike, hike, kayak and camp, refurbish junk furniture and work in the yard.

MIKE ANDERSON

ASSOCIATE PASTOR WORSHIP

AND TECHNOLOGY

Mike is passionate about leading people to have genuine encounters with God in worship. Serving in ministry for four decades, Mike studied at Belmont University and Covington Theoloigcal Seminary and holds a Bachelor of Ministry and a Master of Ministry in Church Music.

 

He has performed with Point of Grace, Charles Billingsley, Taranda Greene, Sandy Patty, Larnelle Harris, Steve Green, Geron Davis, and recently led a mass choir at New York's famed Carnegie Hall. 

 

For fun, Mike loves photography, cycling, and all things Marietta. Mike is the father of five children and has six grandchildren.

 

 

 

 

 

 

ELEXUS LAW

PRESCHOOL MINISTRY

Elexus has been involved with the children’s ministry at GracePointe Marietta for several years. She is a Special Needs co- teacher for preschool age children. Elexus attended Chattahoochee Technical College and earned a  degree in Early Childhood Special Education.


Her passion for children began early in life--it is her way of giving back and serving to those who don’t have a voice, or necessarily know how to project that voice.


Elexus enjoys hiking, being with family and friends.

GARY GILBERT

WORSHIP ASSOCIATE - MEDIA SPECIALIST

Gary serves as our Media Specialist, with principal focus on Audio. He has served as an Audio Specialist at several churches.


Gary is also owner of Aamco Transmission in Woodstock. He and his wife Sandy have three children and are now grandparents too.


Gary has had a long desire to serve on a church staff through media, and GracePointe is the place that God has empowered him to do just that.

LEIGH TRULL

WORSHIP ASSOCIATE - ASSISTANT TO WORSHIP PASTOR

Leigh joined GracePointe Marietta Baptist Church in February of 2018 with her family. She started her career as a Preschool teacher at Eastside Baptist Christian School and continued her teaching career after being a stay at home mom, at Roswell Street Baptist Christian School.


Leigh has a passion for music and has worked as a music associate for many years. When not working, she can be found spending time with her family, her dog Bailey, or watching Georgia football, Go Dawgs! Leigh is married to Gene Trull, and has two children, Emmie and Seth.







KELLY ODEN

WORSHIP ASSOCIATE - IMAG

Kelly is the Worship Associate for IMAG.   He works primarily with the worship service media presentation software and can be found in the sound room during Wednesday night choir rehearsal and Sunday morning worship gatherings. He has served Gracepointe and one of the two founding churches in areas from Sunday school teacher to choir member to various technology positions.  His wife and daughters sing in the choir and all three are elementary teachers.  He has a son who works for Kroger and Kelly is a software developer in his week-day job. 

DANIELLE SWAFFORD

MINISTRY ASSISTANT - CHURCH OFFICE

 

Born and raised ini Rahway, NJ, Danielle graduated from Union County College with a degree in Medical Assisting. Danielle moved to Georgia where she became a part of the GracePointe team. 


Danielle enjoys reading and crafting. She and her daughters are active in the North Cobb High School Band and Color Guard, and in American Heritage Girls.
