Keep Calm and Trust Jesus

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. Do not be wise in your own eyes.”  Proverbs 3:5-7a (NKJV)

“For we walk by faith, not by sight.”  2 Corinthians 5:7 (NKJV)

These verses are both a challenge and a promise!  God never calls us to do something without providing everything we need.  However, we may not be able to see the provision when we want to see it.  We might want see the the provision and even have it in hand before we begin the challenge in which God has called us.  However, that is not the way God works in most cases because He wants us to TRUST Him completely for whatever we need.

I have lived the verses that I have given you.  I have seen God come through with provision at literally the last minute.  I remember when I was planning on attending New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.  We had to sell our house by a certain deadline.  I was so discouraged because on the day of the deadline, no one had bought our house.  So after church, very discouraged, I went home and went to bed.  I was praying and asking for answers.  Suddenly, the phone rang and the realtor had an offer on the house!  Last minute provision.  I could give you testimony after testimony with the provision of God coming at the last minute.

Here at GracePointe, if we truly follow the vision that God has given to us (Vision2023) there are going to many times when we move ahead and SIMPLY TRUST GOD to provide.  As your pastor, I hope you are with me on this!  God does not bless unbelief.

Blessings!

Pastor Tim
